IT Java Developer – Web Development
The IT applications Team in Hibernian Aviva General Insurance are currently recruiting two new Java Developers to join their web development teams.
The web team is responsible for the development and maintenance of B2B and B2C Websites
The candidates should have the following qualities:
At least three years commercial java development experience in web site development.
Experience in General Insurance or Life assurance Services would be a distinct advantage.
The duties and responsibilities to include:
Development / Coding of business requirements on both B2B and B2C websites.
Extending functionality of B2B and B2C Websites.
Dealing with business users and documenting technical functional specification from the business.
Input into to design and technical architecture of application B2B and B2c
Coordinating system test and UAT for both BAU business changes and significant implementations.
Adherence to Cmmi / QA standards.
Work across all parts of the development lifecycle (including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and release).
Must be a self-starter that can take the initiative and work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
The ideal candidate should possess some or all of the following technical skills:
Spring Web flow and Axis

The Online Sales and Operations (OSO) team keeps Google growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company's expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for supporting customers and generating revenue from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, Gmail and Google Earth. This means that OSO team members need to be proactive, motivated, organised, responsible – and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The role: Online Sales and Operations Account Strategist
As an Online Sales and Operations Account Strategist, you’ll help the OSO team better serve Google's worldwide user base for our products such as AdWords and AdSense. These fast-paced sales and support teams quickly identify and resolve customer concerns and contribute to the growth of our programs. Your objective is to continue to hone your account management, online marketing and relationship-building skills, supporting some of Google's top advertisers, agencies and publishers by providing the best possible service via phone, email or chat. Your specific responsibilities will depend on the product area and your skills and experience. They could include managing advertiser or publisher accounts, developing compelling advertising solutions for brand advertisers or developing scalable support solutions for rapid-growth consumer products. * Optimise client accounts by analysing and managing their campaign strategy.
* Improve the advertisers' individual ad and campaign performance.

* Up-sell other Google products.

* BA/BSc degree or equivalent with a strong academic track record.
